Thieves by stealthily and shot hundreds of thousands of euro. The plan will have studied it for days, reconstructing every detail point by point; Moreover, it is not simple "clean up" at night shed full of tools and vehicles without anyone noticing.
Yet, on the night between Friday and Saturday, some unknown thieves managed to steal a truck, three tractors, a van, mini excavator, trailer, hammers, saws and various other working equipment worth about four hundred thousand euro, removing them from a shed located on top of a hill resort "Mirarchi," St. Andrew's in the Ionian sea, with no one at the moment, has noticed the slightest movement.
The interior of the building - is a former cannery built in the nineties - is divided into several areas which are currently used by three different companies: one operating in the construction industry, one in the water and the other in agriculture. To enter, the robbers forced the padlock that closes the gate, then dedicating the opening of the shutters of the warehouse, from which they sought to take away as much as possible. Several questions concern the manner in which it was completed theft. To reach the shed, in fact, it is necessary to cross a city street (Via Sandro Pertini) where there are several townhouses. So, who decided to move during the night, perhaps taking advantage of the storm that raged in the area, has developed a clear plan to try to make as little noise as possible: after all, it was not easy, and above all silent, go through the houses aboard tractors, trucks and excavators. So it is very likely that the thieves have served the same trucks which were loaded on the tractor, excavator, and the rest of the material.
Investigations of the Carabinieri, coordinated by the military Compagnia di Soverato e da quelli della Stazione di Sant’ Andrea Jonio, sono ovviamente in pieno svolgimento e stanno battendo ogni pista. Al momento, però, resta il fatto di un “colpo” pesante sia per il valore complessivo del materiale rubato sia per l’impatto potenziale sull’attività lavorativa delle tre ditte, che danno lavoro a diverse persone della cittadina ionica.
